Thinking about giving this ago, as Avast is giving me the sh!ts with it's self advertising, buy me now, start the firewall, we cured 30 million virus's in Oz last (which is 7 million over the total population) week etc.

Any good words from all of you security staff regarding 360, any special instructions to follow whatever.

My days of paying for av software are long gone, so do not tell me to pay up to get rid of the carp... :D

Where did you come from Bel? MSE is that Microsoft carp I believe.
Meh

Avast all the way. Regardless, the best anti-virus is common sense and uBlock Origin
Is the Meh for Bel, or my question about 360?

I liked Avast, I am just sick of the carp it puts in your face style. I just cut it's throat when it popped up with poxy Chrome to be made my default browser ffs.

I have just installed 360 TS, it will go with either Malware Bytes Pro or Super Anti Spyware Pro as I rotate these two around, Spyware Blaster, and AdMuncher to keep the drive by ones from hopping on board.

Thanks Mal, what I want to know is how good is 360 Total Security.

I have never been infected by a virus, except the ones I have tested agaist. They have all been stopped in their tracks by what ever apps I'm using.

Mailwasher Pro deletes emails that carry a virus before they get downloaded, I should have mentioned that on the list in my previous post...

I have been using total 360 on one of my machines for a while now, definitely light on resources and I believe a lot of the carp on the net about the chinese spying on you is just that, carp. Also running avast on all my other pc's and cant say I get any ads, but then I dont have any of the "extras" that come with it running either.

It was the first time Avast popped up the install make chrome the default browser advert which included opening a Chrome (as it appeared to got installed when I Installed One Drive apparently) window.

I think that Chinese thing is carp as well, sound like Donald Trump bullsh!t.

@ Mal, I have got Sophos on my Android tablet it's ok...

You can disable all the "extras" within the Settings
