That is what most homes are worth today but the currency is worth so little. I bought my first home for around $14,000 USD and now the present owner wants $90,000 USD.
Property is expensive here, my neighbour across the road wants $1.3 million for his house, and he will get it if he sells it to the Chinese.
We want a fair chunk of change for our two bedroom unit.
Some of the property we looked at in West Australia was overpriced because of the mining boom which is no more, but sellers have not realised this yet.
We looked at several places that we liked but were not worth the money.
I live in a small community of about 5000 people now. Prices here are moderate but higher than they should be because of the local Realtors. They tell sellers that they can get more than fair market price just so they can get more for commissions. I looked at a house selling for $75,000 here but could have bought a comparable house in a city of 25000 just 20 kilometers away for $ 60,000. A nice 3 bedroom brick home.
