Video Calls and Audio Mishaps in Skype, Google Hangouts, etc. Help!

New Member
So during this current time, I have been video chatting with friends via Skype, Google Hangouts, etc. But noticed, for example, if there are 4 people in the call, I could hear one of my friend's TV sets, blaring in the background, or their music or YouTube video coming off their computer. When I try to watch a YouTube video or my own TV, I cannot hear anything. Because of the audio coming off my other friend's in the same chat. So is there a way to drown out the audio, or do somehow connect a different microphone to my computer, and talk to them through that method, instead of us using our built in cam's ad mics, perhaps doing this will improve the audio quality and we can hear our own music or videos better?
